Where do you ship from?

Every order leaves from our Florida facility at 10-8100 Belvedere Rd, West Palm Beach, FL 33411. We do not ship from Canada. If you have ordered from a Canadian address in the past, note that all fulfillment now runs through West Palm Beach.

Which products do you keep in stock?

Accepted Answer

We stock a working inventory of our core magnetic track components in West Palm Beach: track profiles, drivers, spots, linear modules, and the connectors and end caps that go with them. Stocked items are the fastest path to a finished install. Anything outside that core range, including custom lengths, specialty finishes, and larger project quantities, is built to order.

How quickly will my order ship?

Accepted Answer

In-stock items typically ship within 1 to 7 business days. Custom or larger orders run 1 to 2 weeks. Project batches are generally 15 to 20 days, and made-to-order products run 20 to 30 days from order confirmation. If a delivery date is driving your schedule, tell us before you order and we will confirm availability against your timeline.

Do you ship outside the United States?

Accepted Answer

Domestic orders are our primary business and ship from Florida. For deliveries outside the US, contact us at info@nuordic.com with your address and item list before ordering. We will confirm whether we can serve the destination, what the freight looks like, and who is responsible for duties and import fees.

Can I pick up an order in West Palm Beach?

Accepted Answer

Yes, for stocked items. Email or call ahead so we can pull and stage your order, and we will confirm a pickup window. Made-to-order products can also be collected once production is complete.

What is magnetic track lighting, and why specify it?

Accepted Answer

A magnetic track is a low-voltage channel that carries power along its length. Fixtures attach magnetically anywhere on the run, with no tools and no rewiring. The practical benefit is flexibility: you can move a spot six inches to catch artwork after the furniture arrives, swap a spot for a linear module, or add fixtures years later without touching the ceiling. The design benefit is a single clean recess or surface line instead of a scatter of separate cans.

What is the difference between your Slim and Standard tracks?

Slim is a 1 inch profile. Standard is 1.5 inches. Slim disappears more completely into a ceiling and suits residential interiors and tight plaster details. Standard accepts larger optics and higher-output modules, which makes it the better choice for taller ceilings, retail, and hospitality. The two systems use different modules, so pick one per project and stay with it.

Can I mix different fixture types on the same track?

Accepted Answer

Yes, within a family. Spots, linear diffusers, folding heads, pendants, and halo modules all share the same rail, so a single run can handle general light, accent light, and a decorative pendant at once. Your only real constraint is the total wattage the driver supports.

Should I use recessed, surface, or suspended track?

Accepted Answer

Recessed is the quietest result, sitting flush with the ceiling plane, but it needs to be planned before drywall. Surface mount is the retrofit answer and works on finished ceilings or concrete. Suspended is for high or exposed ceilings where you want to bring the light down closer to the work plane. All three are available in both profiles.

What color temperature should I specify?

For residential interiors, 2700K reads warm and comfortable, and 3000K is the most common choice for kitchens and open plans where you want warmth without heaviness. Retail and gallery spaces often move to 3500K or 4000K for crispness and better material separation. The rule that matters more than the number: keep one temperature per sightline. Mixed Kelvin in a single room is the fastest way to make good fixtures look cheap.

What CRI do your fixtures deliver?

High CRI is standard across our architectural range, which matters when you are lighting stone, timber, textiles, or skin tones. Exact CRI and R9 values vary by module, so check the spec sheet for the fixture you are specifying. We can send documentation for any item before you commit.

Question 12

How do I size the driver for my run?

Accepted Answer

Add the wattage of every module on the track, then choose a driver rated above that total with headroom for later additions. Long runs also need attention to voltage drop, since a low-voltage system loses performance if you feed a long track from one end only. Send us your run lengths and fixture counts and we will confirm the driver count, placement, and feed points.

What dimming protocols do you support?

Accepted Answer

TRIAC, 0-10V, and DALI, depending on the driver. TRIAC is the simplest path in residential retrofits where a standard wall dimmer already exists. 0-10V is the reliable commercial default. DALI gives you addressable control, scene setting, and per-fixture adjustment, which is what you want on larger or more considered projects. Choose the protocol before you order, since the driver has to match.

Will your lighting work with my smart home system?

Accepted Answer

Generally yes, through the dimming protocol rather than through a proprietary app. Most control platforms speak 0-10V or DALI natively or through an interface module, and TRIAC drivers work with compatible smart dimmers. Send us the control system you are using and we will tell you which driver to specify.

Why would a dimmable fixture flicker or refuse to dim smoothly?

Accepted Answer

Almost always a mismatch between the driver and the dimmer. TRIAC dimming is the usual culprit: the dimmer may have a minimum load the LED cannot meet, or it may be a leading-edge dimmer on a driver that expects trailing edge. Before you replace anything, confirm the dimmer model against the driver spec. If you tell us both, we can usually identify the problem without a site visit.

Do I need a licensed electrician?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The track itself is low voltage and safe to handle, but the driver connects to line voltage and must be installed to code. Recessed track also needs to be coordinated with your ceiling build before finishing. Once the system is powered, moving and adding fixtures is something you can do yourself, with no tools.

Are your fixtures certified for North American installations?

Accepted Answer

Most of our range is ETL or cETL listed, and many recessed models are IC-rated for direct contact with insulation. Certification is listed per product on its spec sheet. If your project requires specific documentation for permitting or inspection, ask and we will provide it.

Do you work with architects, designers, and contractors?

Accepted Answer

That is most of our business. We support trade partners with project pricing, specification assistance, and layout review before anything is ordered. If you are working through a lighting plan, send it over. We would rather catch a driver placement problem on a drawing than on site.

Can I get spec sheets, photometric files, or samples?

Accepted Answer

Spec sheets and photometric data are available for our fixtures on request, and we can provide IES files for lighting calculations. Samples are available for trade projects so you can confirm finish, output, and color quality in the actual space before committing to a full order. Question 20

What is your warranty and return policy?

Accepted Answer

Our fixtures carry a 5 year warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unused items in original packaging. If an item arrives defective or incorrect, we cover return shipping and send a replacement or issue a refund. Return shipping on non-defective returns is generally the customer's responsibility, and made-to-order items are non-returnable.
